STRATEGI PENBANGUNAN EKONOMI DAERAH MENUJU PERTUMBUHAN DAN PEMERATAAN

Past economic development strategy has amazingly change the economic structure and reached relatively high economic growth. However, the economic structure change has been existed only national level, contrasted to relatively stagnant at regional level, especially region outside Java. This reflects that the role and participation of regions to national economic development has not been optimized.
To improve the role and participation of regions to national economic development, there is no other way to adopt export oriented agro-industry strategy within the whole area of Indonesia. Central Government has to fully support the implementation of this export oriented agribusiness promotion strategy. This will require institution restructuring, such as reorganization of agriculture department, forestry department, and marine and fishery department become agriculture agribusiness department, forestry agribusiness department, and marine and fishery agribusiness department. If this agribusiness oriented export promotion strategy is implemented successfully, all regions will optimally contribute the national economic growth, reduce regional economic development gap, reduce unemployment, and reduce poverty rate.
